Privacy Policy

WebAesthetics is a free field guide to web design aesthetics. It doesn't require an account, doesn't run ads, and doesn't use third-party analytics or trackers. This page explains the little bit of data that does pass through the site.

Information we collect

Like most web servers, ours automatically logs basic request data for every visit: IP address, approximate country, the page requested, the referring page (if any), your browser's user-agent string, and a timestamp. This happens for every visitor, including automated ones (search engine crawlers), and is used only for basic security monitoring and aggregate traffic statistics. These logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

What we don't collect

Local storage

Your browser's dark/light mode choice is saved locally on your own device (via localStorage), so it's remembered on your next visit. That preference never leaves your browser — it isn't sent to us or shared with anyone.

Third-party links

The site links out to a few external services — the "Buy me a coffee" support page, and the sibling sites in the WebAesthetics network (InteriorAesthetics, FashionAesthetics, GameAesthetics). If you follow one of those links, you're on a different site with its own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Children's privacy

WebAesthetics isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Because we don't run accounts, most standard "manage your data" options don't apply — there's no profile to edit or delete. If you have a question about the request logs described above, contact us using the email below and we'll do our best to help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
